Not much sound from my speakers

The answer is probably very simple but here goes: I plugged my speakers (1/8" stereo jack) into the headphone outlet. Can hardly hear the sound. How do I get decent volume out of this system?

    WIN + X
    Maximize volume.

WIN is the key with the wavy flag on it.

Many headphone speakers have a volume control lever on them. Should be located where the left and right speaker wires join back together.

There's your answer. Headphones are designed to give higher output at low wattage output levels. Speakers aren't. :)
