Program is minimizing when adjusting sound

Hi, I got a new headset (Microsoft's lx-3000), but when I play a game in full screen and I try adjusting sound volume with the +/- buttons on my headset it minimize the game, full screen program or even youtube video in full screen mode.

When it minimizes, it shows a sound bar in the middle of my screen.

So now I just avoid the +/- on my headset, but when I accidently press it while playing a video or game and it minimizes , it really gets on my nerves.

Can anybody help me please?

Thank you

Windows 7

nobody has a clue of what could be the problem?

I have an hypothesis, could it be because my headset is from microsoft and since I am using windows 7, when I change the main volume with the headset buttons windows 7 create a ''window'' showing the main volume of my computer????????

Thank you!!

hen I change the main volume with the headset buttons windows 7 create a ''window''
It isn't Windows that is creating a window, it is the Lifechat software that is creating it. Try poking around in the Lifrchat settings and see if there is any way to disable the onscreen volume. If not does the headset work without the Lifechat software (still get sound, mic works, etc, when it is set as the default playback and recording device)? If it does work without, if there isn't anything else that requires the Lifechat software I would just uninstall it and use the headset without.

Best Sound Editing Program?
Can anyone recommend a good sound editing program? I have been using Audacity but it is driving me nuts! It is SLOW and CLUNKY and frequently freezes and crashes on my system (Win 7 64-bit). There has GOT to be a better sound editor out there. What do you recommend? Thanks for any and all advice!

Close program sound for no reason
My PC makes a sound often for no apparent reason. I have determined it is the default (for my scheme) close program sound... Any idea why it seems to randomly do this?

Show sound slider when adjusting volume?
I used to have a volume bar in XP, but those drivers no longer work. I have no visual indicator of system volume. That's significant when viewing online media because the system may be maxed out, while the media player may not. I'd absolutely love the Win7 sound slider to show up when I turn...
