    Hide and seek... Reverb styles

    Hello,

I recently changed a setting on my speaker setting [I have no idea how to find that spot [window] now..] I changed it from whatever it was to a different sound [reverb style]. I remember the icon was an orange speaker at the bottom of my screen. Some of the different reverb sounds for the speakers was, cave, forest, hall, parking lot, etc..

Now when I play music I like the way it sounds, but when I play a movie or video, the sounds sound like they are coming from inside a tin can.

How do I find the window to make the changes to get back to the original setting? It seems to have shown up fairly easily but now is hiding from me...

    Thank you for any help...

    K

The "Sound Enhancements" is where the various extra sounds such as reverb, echo, chorus, etc are found. I don't know where it's located on your PC, but check the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel and it may be there.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

For the next guy.... it's located in:

    Control Panel/Sound/Speaker Properties/Enhancements/Settings

set to "none" if you want to watch TV or whatever, set to any other for music.

    Thanks again!

To be perfectly clear on this....

    Go to control panel, then:
"Sound"/ double click on the active speaker [the one that is checked, or the one you are using]
this will open a new window "speaker Properties" click on "enhancements" then down at the bottom click on the arrow that applies to "setting".
Choose from a bunch of reverb settings.

Thanks again to Fireberd. Great avatar by the way. Ferdinando Ghilgelli is a fav of mine.
