No Audio with Foxconn P43A running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Ok. So I've been running my desktop on Windows XP with no problems for almost a year now. Last night, I decided to reformat and install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Now, I can't get the audio to work. I have no sound at all. I tried the Foxconn website, none of the sh*t there helps. Either that or they're not working. I'm no computer genius but I'm guessing I need to find a suitable driver for the onboard audio. I tried downloading the latest realtek driver/software but still nothing. I'll appreciate any help or suggestions! Thanks in advance!

If you didn't install the motherboard chipset drivers, that can be a reason the sound does not work. On a new install the chipset drivers MUST be installed before installing the sound chip drivers. Dell uses a lot of foxconn OEM motherboards and the way it must be done on Dell's.

There is a motherboard chipset driver listed on the downloads for that board at foxconn. HERE

Hmm. I can't get the download on the Foxconn website to work. I tried googling for it, and I was able to download 3 which didn't work. As for the disk that came with the MoBo, it only has drivers compatible with XP. But I actually solved the problem now. I was able to download something just a little while ago. Like 2pm (+8GST).

REALTEK - Download driver for ALC888

Sorry for the trouble guys. I just remembered to check on this now. Thanks for trying though! Cheers!
