    mic: alyways "unmutes" after reboot

    Hello all

One "small" issue but very annoying ...

I usually mute the microphone from the windows sound mixer (from the taskbar) because it interferes with the speakers and creates .. the microphony effect.

The problem is that the microphone is "unmuted" after each reboot !
So if the speakers volume is quite high i get that annoying noise quite loud ..

Anyone had that problem before and found a way to fix it ?

    Thanks !

No system specs listed so we can comment directly on your PC, but check the setup for your sound, in the Control Panel/Sound Panel and see if there is any way to have it default to mute.

I have a SoundBlaster Xfi sound card and there are no options default to the mic muted.

man i got so frustrated by this problem that i created account here just to try to share my experience and help you if i can ... right click on volume control on taskbar , open recording devices and than in properties of youre mic , listen , uncheck box ' listen to this device ' ... it wont start as muted but you wont have any problem with microphony or hearing yourself while speaking but your mic will work as it should . sorry for mistakes in typing english is not my languege
