    no sound after instaling win7


    the 1rst day i had sound n the 2nd day i have no sound any ideas why?

    First let me welcome you to sevenforums. there are plenty of resources and people to help you so dont hesitate to ask.

    There are several reasons your sound stopped working.
    It could be turned off in control panel (does the speaker in the system try have a read circle over it?), it could be a bad audio driver (try re-installing it) If you could give us some more information about your system it would help. Is it 32 bit or 64, do you have a sound card, is it a laptop or desktop, etc

    processor: AMD atholon 64 processor 3000+ 2.01GHz
    ram: 512MB
    system type: 32bit operating system
    PC


    Hopefully tht helps you help me. And yes ive checked my control panel and nothing is muted evrything is on. When i play music the speaker on the bottom of my screen is registering but i hear no sound. i even went out of my way to buy new monitor speakers! as far as a sound card, how would i know if i have one or is tht somthing sold seperatley tht you can install?

    I figured it out


    all i did was go to contol panel hardware and sound devises then when in there i went to manage audio devise and right clicked my realtec speaker and disabled it then

    after disabling it i restarted therefore forcing my computer to choose a gud driver and waalaa !!!!!!!!!lovely sound!!!!!
