The one from Realtek is a small update to what Asus has: 6.0.1.5859
    I use an Asus P5K mobo w 7.1 surround.

Try the one you are downloading at the moment and we will see what happens.
Ok, downloaded and installed. I got the Audio Manager back, and I set it up again to QUADRAPHONIC.

I pressed the four speakers one by one, and heard a sound effect from each of them, BUT they were BUZZING. I out my headphones on, and the buzzing noise was even there.

I tried playing a song again, and again i couldn't hear anything form the rear speakers, and the front speakers had this weird annoying buzzing sound.

Its back to the original problem, only with an additional BUZZ problem too.

Well, not everything. I just installed the BIOS update, it fixed my problem that it showed my CPU temperature as 100 C /212 F all the time. And I installed the LAN Update.

I didn't install the audio update from ASUS yet, but good news is that my rear speakers are working...dunno what I did, lol.

I thought if i'll install the audio driver on ASUS site it'll remove the buzzing and the rear speaker sound will stay.
the buzz is gone, and so is the rear sound. I tried fixing it, doing the same stuff I did before to make it work, but nothing happened.

I'm really going crazy...its so annoying...
