Line in is only picking up the right channel.

My line in input from my MSI PRO-E X58 motherboard is only picking up the right channel when i record from my dj mixer, it just suddenly happened last week whilst recording.

Now I cant fix it, tried updating, unistalling the driver completely and letting windows update patch it but to no avail.

Any shed any light on this for me?

Thanks in advance

Have you tested the cable to make sure it hasn't gone bad ??

Correct first check cable and also make and un-make the connection many times. Do you leave this connection for long periods of time if so you may also want to try a small amount of Caig Gold.
DeoxIT® GOLD, #G5MS-15
Little goes a long way, just like thermal paste less is more. Great for all audio connections and more.

Yep, DeoxIt is the way to go, I have some just to keep my older 24 channel board quiet, some of these connections have been hooked up a couple of years.

If you don't have any contact cleaner a little bit of alcohol on the plug (at least 100 proof) will do. Work the plug in and out a few times.

Media Center not picking up correct channel lineup?
Okay, so I can rearrange them using the edit feature, but what about the channels that don't show up at all? I would like to see them in the guide too. Instead of saying "No data available" Many of the digital channels I am supposed to get don't show up at all. Also, my provider is not listed even...

Yet again my cable company is changing it's channel line up. Just when I've got finger memory encoded in my brain to use the remote with out looking, it's like typing for me now (don't need to look), they go and screw up my finger memory with this massive channel line up change and adding some new...
