    Audio issues, lagging noises.

    Hi,

I've been having a problem lately while listening to any audio on my laptop. I'll be listening to music or watching a movie/show and suddenly the audio makes a "bzzzzzt" type noise and it doesn't happen just once, sometimes several times just during a song. Any idea as to what is causing this?

    I have a HP dv6 notebook.
    AMD Turion II P540 Dual-Core Processor 2.40GHz
    RAM: 4GB
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Sound: ATI High Definition Audio Device
    IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

Thank you for any help. If you need anymore info about my computer, I'd be happy to give it.

Hello, there Summerstar! Welcome to the forums! does this problem only happens when playing audio files? or any type of media files??

Could you tell us if you have the latest audio drivers installed?? and which media player are you using to play those files?

    Thanks for the welcome.

It happens when playing any media files.

As far as I know I have the latest drivers installed. I went into the device manager and made sure the driver software was updated in the sound section. Is there another way I have to do this..?

As for the media players I'm using. For music I'm using iTunes and for video I'm using VLC Player, both are updated to their latest versions.
