    Urgent help with Quicktime player...anybody?

I have been working on a project for a couple of days using QT videos with no problem. Today, when I tried to open my QT Player, nothing happened! I can see the QT icon in the task bar below, but the windows does not open at all. I tried reinstalling, and nothing. I can't use another program (that I know of) because I actually need special media keys for these videos. I don't know what to do!!
I tried restarting in safe mode, and there's no problem there, the window opens fine, but then I can't use the DVD player. I'm sooo lost. Please help me?

Since it works in safe mode but not normal boot it is probably just a configuration issue or driver. Have you tired un-installing Qtime and re-installing it?

I actually uninstalled and reinstalled many times already hoping for a different result.... (pathetic, uh?) However, I managed to open the program window in safe mode, but i got no sound. I uninstalled again and reinstalled but the next time I tried safe mode it didn't work at all. I also disabled all services in msconfig, and nothing. I am going crazy. I had to install some special media keys to be able to watch this videos. Is there another program that I can use with those media keys? Does it have to me Quicktime?
