stereo mix doesnt catch sound

    stereo mix doesnt catch sound


    ok, i am trying to get sounds directly from comuter the weird thing is that.... when i open a sound recorder program it just have 2 options, microphone and stereo mix, when i put stereo mix it just dont record nothing, it is blank...

    there is any way for me to record sounds in win 7?

    thank you.

    there is a vid below that i created. so you can understand it better, (the microphone doesnt have sound cux it is desactivated, so it cant catch what speakers are saying )



    i have toshiba laptop, that might be somthing usefull.

    no, it is in max..... just doesnt catch any sound..

    Does the speaker symbol look like this stereo mix doesnt catch sound-capture.png (MUTED) or stereo mix doesnt catch sound-capture1.png (ENABLED) ?

    it actually works with isound for windows 7 without stereo mix and that stuff (the trial version only let you 100 seconds..) , im trying to use audacity, but somehow it doesnt work.... and the oddest thing is that camtasia studio does record the sound if it is recording video.. BUT it lags, and when I try it to record sound only in camtasia it doesnt work..

    well i would like a program that can record unlimited, even on trial version, or a free software program

    or just fix that stereo mix

    I was able to record in Audacity by setting the preferences as follows.....

    stereo mix doesnt catch sound-capture1.jpg

    Are your settings the same?

    Have you tried disabling the microphone and try to record sounds on your PC with the Stereo Mix enabled?
