Hi ,
I am tryng to connect my sony vaio through HDMI to sony bravia,i can see the video but the audio is being played from my laptop speakers.
I am not able to find any HDMI output in my sounds playback menu. I have checked evrything but in vain.
My OS is windows seven 64 bit.
Please help me.

I think what I need to know here is your mobility graphics card information.
First we need to determine if the device supports hdmi audio and then we will more than likely need to track down a driver specifically for it.
In the case of hdmi, the video card controls the audio. So it may not even appear in the volume control the way most other audio does.
My graphic card information is
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express chipset family
It does have proper hdmi audio support. Without further information the only suggestion I can make is to go to intel's website and reinstall the driver package.

try to update, or install your graphic card software from the cd youv'e got if u dont so go to the menu in ur tv, look for HDMI options and there should be "sound from HDMI" or something like that try to enable it ... let me know if something has changed
i tried the TV option 'HDMI set up' i selected 'on' there wasnt an option for HDMI sound. I have re-installed graphic card software is there some kind of patch I can install so I get the option of HDMI on Sound playback on the contol panel
