Unwanted clicking sound when surfing the net?

    Windows 7 64-bit, Maxthon 2 and IE8 as browsers.
Lately, when viewing certain sites, like this one - http://www.edmunds.com/photoflipper/?year=2010&make=Infiniti&model=EX35&submodel=EX35&trim=Journey, I get a clicking sound every time the picture changes. At other times, the clicking sound seems to occur when I left click a link. How do I stop this sound?

See if changing the Start Navigation sound to (None) in the drop down menu may solve the problem.

    Sounds - Change

Yeah, that did it. But, how do i control the clicking sound and still allow other sounds to exist?

    Hello Flycaster,

You get the clicking sound for when you click on links in Internet Explorer and folders in Windows Explorer by default. Unfortunately, this sound event can only be turned on or off for both and not one or the other.
