What readings are you getting with the DPC Latency checker and do you get any "high" spikes?
Does it tell you your system is OK?

This is what I get on my Desktop with the DPC Latency Checker (no browser or e-mail program open).
I have an HT Omega Striker 7.1 audio card. I also have this PC optimized for Sonar recording studio software. I only have minimal startup programs, including Microsoft Security Essentials, and they were all that was running when I took the snapshot, I had closed my browser and e-mail before running the Latency checker.
When you start a program or a running program accesses something, that can make a "spike" in the Latency.
I notice it does state that there are devices that could cause Latency issues. As I noted originally, there are many potential things that can cause pops, crackles, etc and you have to try one thing at a time to see if it helps or eliminates it.
I have this card and had the same problems until I downloaded Daniel K's drivers. Also made some EQ adjustments. Everything sounds great.
could it be that my 2gb ram is not enough?
