    audio driver


    ok i reformatted windows 7 and now trying to get the latest IDT HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO drivers up to date for my laptop and everytime i download the latest version i can't use my sound i had this before. im currently using old drivers which make the sound in crappy quality someone help me?

    Is it enabled? Control panel, hardware and sound, sound, click recording tab and see if it enabled and set as default.

    yea man it's all enabled says audio device is disabled which it's not in device manager or control panel i don't know what to do ive reinstalled lot's etc

    where are you getting the new drivers from..?
    are they recommended by the laptop manufacturer?

    yes there from the website made for this laptop ive had these drivers installed before the gay service pack 1 screweed my laptop up

    Ok, what's the make and model # of your laptop?
    Have you tried a system restore yet?

    What is your sound card or laptop ? Windows Update not all the drivers.
    at its worst you can try to use a driver for vista who run in windows 7 in majority of cases.

    hp g61 laptop and the drivers im using are IDT HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO CODEC
