    Custom startup ?


    Hi, At the moment i cant find any way to use my own sound startup in Windows 7 RC1 ? is this possible ? any advice appreciated

    Yes you can but only with wav. files. here's a converter from MP3 to wav. Convert MP3 to WAV

    Isn't it the "Windows Logon" that you see if you scroll down a little?

    copernicus: yes you click on it and select browse select the file you want to be played instead (ONLY WAV. FILES) and it should work smooth. :)

    Thanks guys ... yes works with logon but i don't use logon just startup and thats the sound I'm trying to replace

    Yes it's in the shell32.dll in system32, you will need to use a resource hacker to open it and then you can replace it with your own, you may need to take ownership of it and give yourself full permissions to be able to save it.
