Problem I am having after upgrading from XP Home

hi guys, i know i just joined but im having a really hard time with this, and i feel like ive tried everything i can think of.

I updated to windows 7, and realized that my sound is not working, i tried to update the driver through device managed and it failed, i tried to install the driver i think i was supposed to download, that also failed, and ive updated windows, which also didnt solve my problem. I ran a dxdiag, and under Notes it states:
-No sound card was found. if one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the manufacturer.

the computer isnt brand new, so the CD (if there ever was one) is long gone.

let me know if you need any more information is needed, as im not sure what you really need :)

    We need more info.

    Who made the computer?

What is the make and model of your motherboard?

Does it have integrated sound (on the motherboard) or do you have a separate sound card?

If you look in Device Manager under sound, do you see any brand names?

    2) Integrated

    3) I dont think this is the brand name, took a screen cap just to make sure.

    Gateway Support - 4365*Gateway 504GR Desktop Computer

In the BIOS, make sure that your onboard audio is enabled.

Download your audio driver from here Realtek
