i am using Windows 7 build 7264. i never installed sound max driver that came with the mother board cd because it wont work. Instead i ran windows update and it would download the sound driver from microsoft that works perfectly. So uninstall any sound driver that you have installed and run windows update it will download and install the sound driver for you.

    Hope this will work.
