    Have no sound at all

I built a computer about a a month ago. This computer is using a EVGA p55v sli motherboard and and Intel I5 processor. I installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. This is a legit OEM copy purchased from frys new.

I cannot get any sound at all out of the back jacks, and only a single test sound out of the front jack. If I could not get anyssound at all I might think it is the motherboard, but I can indeed get a single. BOOONG when I plug them in the front, and hit the test speaker button, but nothing else.

I have checked for new drivers, and this is the most current driver, I am using realtek onboard sound.

Yes they are set as the default, I did try setting the digital audio as the defuat, that is actually the only time I have gotten any sound from them at all... but I set the speakers back to defualt... nothing.

Okay I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them using the disk which came with the motherboard. I also got sfc scan done, no violations found. I still get nothing. THe motherboard detects the speakers being plugged in and correctly identifies the plug being used, but still nothing comes out of the speakers..... it isn't the speakers becuase they play an ipod just fine.
