I get a time out when trying to access your link.

Windows will get drivers (on line) for many devices and this sounds like what it did for your sound device.

If you are going to use this rather than the existing sound you have and it's integrated (on the motherboard) you should disable the integrated sound in the BIOS to avoid conflicts.

I don't get what the problem is. You stated in the original post that Windows detected it as a plug and play device. To me that means it's working.

Go to the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Panel. In the playback, make sure your USB sound is selected as the default playback device. The click on Configure button and test the speakers, to see if it's working at this point.

I also saw THIS on the web about it. Not too encouraging.

Fireberd - I am using a USB DAC on my computer and am having sound issues (drop-outs every few minutes.) How do I disable the integrated sound on my BIOS to avoid conflicts?

There should be an entry in the BIOS - F2 Setup at power on. The Dell manual does not detail how to disable the on-board audio but on other models there is an entry for "Integrated Audio" or may say "Legacy Audio" or may have some other reference.

Take a look at the Setup. HERE is what is in the manual
