HDMI Audio Issue
Hi everyone,
I tried to search for a solution to this one, but I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem. I have built an HTPC with an ASUS P755H-M-PRO motherboard, with has DVI and HDMI outs. The HDMI out carries audio, making it perfect for an HTPC setup. And the best thing is, it works great, and I have almost no issues with it.
Almost
Recently I connected another monitor (Cheap Benq running at 1920x1080, same resolution as the TV) to the PC. With a second monitor connected (in the DVI port), the HDMI audio stop working. The video feed makes it to both screens, the HDMI audio device is still there and active in the Playback Device list, but no sound comes out. As soon as I disable the extra screen, Audio comes back.
Any idea what could be causing this? (well, the second monitor is causing it, I guess I'm looking for a solution which doesn't involve turning off the second monitor )
I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64, TV is a 1080p screen as is the Benq, TV is connected with a HDMI-HDMI cable, Screen with a DVI-HDMI cable (maybe I should try VGA for giggles).
Thanks,
Ben
