    Wireless Headset issue

I have wireless World of Warcraft headset which I've had an odd issue with for as long as i can remember. Whenever i start my computer (via reboot or from shutdown), my headset has a 95% chance of losing the microphone. By losing the mic, i mean that when i turn on the headset, the speakers on it work perfectly fine, but the microphone doesn't work at all. It shows up as a microphone in the volume control but won't actually relay voice.

To fix it, temporarily at least, i have to turn off the headset, unplug it if it is plugged in, set the usb dongle to sync, turn on headset, sync headset. I haven't been able to find anyone else with the same issue. Anyone have ideas on possible ways to fix it so i don't have to re-sync on every boot up? I've updated the firmware for it and haven't had success with that.
