    Headset Fatal1ty doesn't record sound

    Hello everyone,
    I'm having a bit of a problem.
I can hear myself speak in to the mic, so the mic 'reads' my words and my speakers play them back at me. But for some odd reason I can't get it to record my words with any kind of program.

    Please, I need help!

Hi aartdognaux, Download this program and see if the mic can be recorded in that > Audacity: Windows

I feel that you may need to record your voice in audacity and then use the resulting audio in your new video, I've never used power director so I can't really test anything out for you, hope it helps

Quick question, this the USB model or connected directly to the sound card (either actual card or onboard)? If it is the USB model and you installed the drivers/software for it, make sure that it is set to microphone and not "What U Hear" in the recording properties.

No, it's the kind with Jacks. And I've looked after that, and it is set on microphone. Strangly it does record with audacity :) which is fine by me
