    no sound on my computer


    I paid 90 dollars the other day to get windows 7 restore so i could get my computer working again and since then, i have no sound on my computer now, i am so frustrated.

    Hi doveowen and welcome to SF! :)
    Sometimes the system restoration can impair the proper functioning of some drivers and programs. Try reinstalling the sound driver.
    Let us know the results.

    try this. right click on the speaker icon bottom right of the taskbar, select playback devices, look for "speakers" click on it and then click set default then OK , good luck

    hi, thank you again, i tried this ( clicking on the speaker icon and selecting play back devices and setting default but it wouldnt let me highlight anything, thank you for your help though,

    Download CPU-Z 64-bit (.zip, no installation) and extract it to your desktop. Double click on cpuz64.exe. Go to the mainboard tab. There you will see the model of your motherboard, as shown below. Post it here.
