Realtek HD Audio Manager not in Control Panel

    Solved but some presets missing


    I uninstalled all audio/realtek drivers from device manger & add/remove programs, unfortunately also removed realtek PCIE card reader, now need to install that again. After reinstalling the drivers from the manufacturer's cd (alienware M14x), the Audio Manager came back.

    But there were lot more presets on the Waves Tab before it disappeared, only left with 4 now (Gaming/Voice/Movies/Music). For an audio noob like me, the other presets would have been helpful

    the problem is that beginning with r.2.67 of the realtek hd audio codec they added waves maxx audio

    if you install r2.66 or early you will get the manager back

    sadly most of the posters here had no clue what was going on
