Microphone volume reduced
Hello All,
I did a fresh Windows 7 installation on a new hard disk drive on my laptop.I am using Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. However, after installation the microphone seems to be behaving weirdly(volume has reduced).I see that the system is automatically adjusting the volume of the microphone(always reduces it). Also, Control Panel->Sounds->Recording shows 2 microphones and 2- High Definition Audio Device is written beneath both of them. One of them shows up as the default device and another one shows as not available.
The jack information is the only thing which is different between these 2 devices. One of them shows Digital Jack(currently set a default) and other one shows Front Panel 3.5mm Jack.I am not sure which is the actual device though making any one default doesn't seem to have a lot of difference.
Also, Yahoo Messenger is unable to identify my microphone and webcam.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. - I don't have the audio driver CD's with me anymore
