USB Audio disables on board audio

I just purchased and installed a Logitech Clearchat Wireless Headset and have found that Windows only supports one default audio device so if I want to use my desktop speakers instead of the headset I have to change the default audio device.
Previously I could just switch the speakers off or on as required.
In addition I would like the option to use two headsets (for conference calls, not because I have two heads ), but of course the headset jacks are part of the on board audio so they are also disabled.
Any ideas?

I see whats going on here... I have a USB Sound Card, and windows defaults to it.

Certain programs (such as Skype, WinAmp) have options to play directly to a certain sound source and/or pick up audio from a specific sound source.

In my case, My default output is my Digital Out Surround Sound, and Skype is using my Headphone set for the skype calls. I can hear my friend, my friend can hear me, and we both can hear my music.

As for conference calling, two headsets? What sort of conference call requires 2 headsets?

erm... What you could do, if one of you is using Skype, is one headset as the Default communications device (right click the mic, set default communications device), same with the headphones,, set the other headset to the default device and tell skype to use the one thats not set as the communications device...

personally, it'd be better if you had a laptop to hand..

Realtek on-board audio low on one drive, ok on the other, same PC
This is NOT the typical low audio out problem with Realtek chipsets which can be mostly fixed with tweaking level, balance & eq. settings. I researched that. This is on a single PC (tower) with two bootable drives, both running Win 7 from the same original image. The only difference (if you can...

Sound Card replacment for on board audio
I just purchased a New Windows 7 HP Envy computer (#2 in "My System Specs") with on board "Beats" audio. This may work well for some but most of my music is from the 40's through the 70's and Beats audio does a terrible job. The volume constantly changes and the audio will shift from left right...

Kubuntu in VirtualBox disables Windows audio
When running Kubuntu in Sun VirtualBox it disables Windows audio devices. Only way to re-enable audio seems to be reboot. When running Ubuntu, it's OK. No problems with Windows devices. Both Kubuntu and Ubuntu v. 9.04. I like KDE more than Gnome, that's the reason for Kubuntu. Any ideas? ...
