Default sound not working when opening folder

I don't hear any default sound when clicking and opening folders. But I hear the default sound on start up. Not sure what happened.

I don't ever recall folders making a sound but check the system sound settings.
Right click the task bar speaker then select Sounds.
Any action assigned a system sounds will have a small speaker in front of it.
