WMP playlists are .wpl files.

MPSs are not stored IN those files, they are seperate. The wpl file just keeps a list of their name and location.

VLC supposedly can read them or was going to at one point. I've not tried it, but the easiest thing to to is to install VLC and try to open one of your "<playlistname>.wpl" files...

If that doesn;t work then google for "Convert WMP playlist file to M3u" or whatever you want to convert it too... there are tons of tools out there for that.
