Stereo Mix Problem on VAIO laptop

    Stereo Mix Problem on VAIO laptop


    Hey guys,
    I have been trying to get stereo mix working on my VAIO laptop but i have failed.
    the model is VGN-AW110N. I have windows 7 ultimate x64.
    please help me
    i have gone to the VAIO esupport website and installed the audio driver from there too, but i dont get the stereo mix option in my sound settings.

    Right click on Microphone or Line In, put a check by Show Disabled Devices, and enable Stereo Mix.

    i have already ticked both of them but stereo mix doesn't appear.

    Is the High Definition Audio......Realtek?
    If so, try it from here Realtek

    Then you most likely do not have stereo mix on that hardware.

    so you're telling me my Realtek HD Audio hardware doesn't support stereo mix ? hows that possible :/ its an HD soundcard :/

    You may be able to get stereo mix using Realtek r.161.
    Someone reported that it works on a Vaio CW32, but there was a side effects of the speaker and headphone both working at the same time.

    it doesn't matter i just need to get this thing working, can you give me the link to the realtek r.161 please?

    You'll have to use the Vista driver.
    You may have to run it in compatibility mode.
