    Audio Problem

    Hello guys, I just recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7100) I love it and it runs great! The thing is when I play Counter-Strike: Source the sound is bugged. It crackles and pops really bad and makes me lag, when I shoot it sounds like 1 bullet is 8.

    Hey Fusion

    Welcome to sevenforums

    My first idea is the driver for the integrated sound chip. goto Compag and get the correct (32 or 64 bit) wun 7 driver or if not the correct vista driver will probably work

    When I run the driver I get the error " Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been cancelled. (9998)

    You may need to run it in compatability mode for Vista.

    Right-click -> Properties -> Compatability

    See if that helps :)

    Sorry for the double post

    I think I already have this driver, that would be the most logical reason it is saying this. Any other suggestions anyone?
