    Sound from headphones and speakers simultaneously.


    i have windows 7 pro 32bit and i cant disable the speakers without disabling the headphones i don't think there not being recognized, they are both in the same device (see attachment) help please i have the latest Realtek hd audio drivers

    Hi tim413, if you right click the speaker icon on the right of the taskbar and select playback devices you will see the speakers and the headphones. you should be able to set the defaults there by clicking on the speakers or headphones and clicking set default.

    nope this is what i see the speakers and headphones are one device and idk why

    thats a tricky one i havent seen that before, unfortunately im on the lappy now and have a different sound card ,so i cant get into the realtek audio settings .
    can you go to control panel and select realtek hd audio manager and see if there is setting in there .
    hopefully someone else can pitch in with some ideas. i will pm someone who may know a bit more about this,

    What happens when you select "The default communication device" rather than "All devices currently playing sound"?

    I've just checked my Realtek Audio Manager, see below.

    i dont have the realtek audio manager it never installed i got a sony vaio vgn-cs16m

    ok can you open vaio control center and click sound and then go to advanced and see if there is anything in there.
    im clutching at straws here as im not familiar with your notebook.

    im having trouble finding a download that is for x86
    your sure you dont have it, could you do a search in the start menu search box.
