I think I blew my jbl desktop speakers, wrong audio settings?

Stigma Tel high definition audio codec

My speakers have a strange buzz,& sound kinda wavy. But it seems if I turn it up louder then regularly it goes away.I have not turned them up loud for a month or so.Just started happening today. What kinda setting should I set it too?Theirs alot of different settings,I used one in the middle for awhile.I been fiddling with it & forgot just what one it was.The amp in the speakers is probably going bad.
But I got curious that maybe the bit & hz setting may have caused it.Idk,so thought I would ask.

Whatever settings you make in the PC should have no affect on the speakers. It's still just an analog output and the output level can't go high enough to hurt the speakers. The buzzing is an indication of an internal problem in the speaker system.
