Went out to look for the other type of DVD, unsuccessfully. I will give it a shot now.

    Any luck yet?

Mike is this all about making sure a correct backup is performed?
I personally would have gone for the shut down and restart holding
the 0 (zero) key option after the first 20 pages of posts!!! Lol.

If the recovery partition fails to reinstall to factory default then
an OEM disk, the serial number and the manufacturers website could have
    got everything back on.

All I'm saying is that this all seems like a hell of a lot of trouble to go to
worrying about something that may or may not even occur. Some people are
the better to be safe than sorry type but I'm the worry about it when it
    happens type I guess.

Be done with it guys- restart holding the 0 key!!! :)

I had/used it. I haven't been able to get it off my computer though. I did just delete some other things, though, putting me at 6.55 GB free.

Use/Run fileASSASSIN again, same as before
which you should download/install and run. Then there will be a box where you can enter the path/name of the file you want to delete, or click the [...] button to browse for it. Since you have it copied in memory, you should be able to simply click in the open space of the box (NOT the button [...] !!) and simply press ctrl + V to paste the entire path as long as it works,
but his time select the second radio-buton from the bottom "Use delete on Windows reboot function". Now cross your fingers and press [Execute] button.

This should take care of it without windows running.
    It will reboot.

that was what I was going to try(after seeing if it would burn off some recovery disc's) but supposedly thats not a good idea, and plus a factory recovery supposedly wont fix the problem. I was planning on trying it anyway once I got Cruxone a fresh real copy of non OEM windows so a reinstall is possible if I and you are wrong, otherwise there would no help from anyone. plus it has so much bloatware on it that it's way to big for that drive. and what do you mean about the venders site? are you tallking about downloading factory images?
