    Problem recording in audition 2.0

Hello everyone, Im having problems recording from the Mic input in audition 2 with Win7 Ultimate 32bit on an audigy.
All audio plays fine, the microphone works fine in the volume test in the native win 7, but the problem happens when I try to record from the mic inside audition. It will read only one of the channels, the other will only show some really low input.
The microphone was working fine before installing win7 along with audition 2 under xp sp3
    Any ideas??

I notice the current version is 3. Is that older V2 100% Windows 7 compatible? Vista and Windows 7 handle audio differently than XP and thus XP audio drivers do not work or work correctly in Vista/Win 7 and that may also be the case with the Audition V2 since it was working OK in XP and designed for how audio is handled in XP.

Also the mic input is mono, not stereo and if you are only seeing audio on one channel that could be the reason.

the microphone was recording completely fine in stereo when I was running XP. I managed to get audition 3 and is the same, very low input from one of the channels

Did you run the Mic configuration wizard?

Right click on the MS speaker icon in the task bar.
    Select recording devices.

Notice the "Configure" buttons made available when a device is selected... see if you have any options there.
