Gigaware USB headset sound cuts out randomly

I'm running Windows 7 64bit. Not sure exactly what sound card I have, just says RealTek High Definition Audio on my Sound Devices list beside my headset.

This headset is only about a year old, doesn't seem to have a model number, it's just a USB device with a mic attached.

It only started doing this today. I plug it in, sound plays fine for anywhere from 30 mins to a couple hours then the sound completely cuts out and I have to replug it back in, it plays fine again till it decides to cut out again.

Any ideas as to what might be causing it and how to fix it?

Are you connecting the headset directly to a separate port on the PC or through a USB hub or a USB port on some other device such as a Printer or Keyboard? If you are not connecting directly, try that. If you are connecting to a front panel USB port, try a rear USB port.
