For the life of me i cannot get audio to work

    Even with 7600 it's still a bit of hit and miss if it works or not. In a few months these issues should be resolved. Realtek has too much at stake not to get it right.

    I am actually trying the realtek ac'97 one, and it seems to be the right one. Apart from the fact that it comes up with, this is not recognised driver do you wish to continue, and i say yes....but the message keeps popping up.

    I think this is the correct one, so trying to install it

    Are you sure that the Driver for your Audio is Realtek ?ASUSTeK Computer Inc. try to get your Mobo from the list and get the Driver you need if its in the download section.
    May be there arent any 64bit Drivers for 7,

    YOU ABSOLUTE STAR

    It worked, i used the vista 64bit one for my Mobo, and run it in compatability mode for vista service pack 1 as administrator.

    It was not realtek, it was VIA or something like that

    And i now have sound

    Nope, im still studying at uni, but im doing kind of a Customer Support for my Cousins, When ever they see me on book-of-faces something hapens to their PC
