Volume increasing automatically!

I have quite a baffling problem. Sound volume on my system increases automatically!

If bring it down to zero and it will immediately bring it back to 100%. It's like the system doesn't want to play any content below full volume.

I first thought it was my mouse or keyboard, but I unplugged both of them but to no avail. I am at a loss as to what I should be doing. I can't play content at full volume, especially since I use headphones almost exclusively.

My system:
Intel Core i5 750
GTX 570
RealTek on-board sound card
4GB RAM
OCZ 64GB SSD
300GB WD Velociraptor

Please help me!

Note: This is a solution for HP computers.

Bios\System Configuration,highlight the sound button,press enter and disable it.

Is this a problem with Windows Sounds, Games, Audio/Video playback or all sounds?
What control do use to adjust it? Speaker icon in taskbar, Realtek driver software?
Try changing it in Control Panel - Sounds - Speakers - Properties - Levels.

Audio/Video playback, what software are you using?

Hm. Won't that disable on-board sound? I am using that.

For all sounds. I use the speak icon in the taskbar, by my keyboard's volume controls or even manually, doesn't matter - it just shoots back to 100%.

I use Windows Media Player Classic for A/V.

Could be a keyboard driver issue.

Reboot your PC, and see if the issue resolves itself. If it does ...

Then look to updating drivers for your Keyboard, or any external device that has the ability to adjust volume in Windows externally.

I had a similair issue on 1 PC with a Logitech keyboard. Only the opposite. It would continually lower the volume to 0 no matter what.
A reboot would fix, but it would come back after some time. A driver update resolved it completely.

It appears to be my Roccat headphones. I plugged it (it requires USB for power) and the volume staying put. I hope the headphones are not faulty. I really love them so much.

There is a setting

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Devices

On the communications tab try selecting "Do nothing".

This will stop W7 from automatically changing the volume sometimes when you switch applications. Whenever I watched Youtube videos in Firefox this was changing my volume settings. Selecting "Do Nothing" made it stay where I had set it.

My problem relates here. The volume increases automatically to 100% when I click on the Speaker Task Bar Icon to adjust the volume. I drag the indicator down and it just cruises on back up to the top. This started when I noticed that a sService.exe (Spelt correctly) was running and showing a awful volume controller on top of everything smack bang in the middle of my desktop. I could only get rid of it in Task Manager by ending that process. I have since deleted the .exe from the Samsung (x86) Program File so will wait to see results on the next reboot.

In the meanwhile I still cannot completely control the volume.

And yeah... Did as above and no change.

Running Windows7 on Samsung DP700A3B - {Touch Screen ( which I believe is responsible for the awful Controller mentioned above. ) }
