    USB Midi Won't Work Anymore

I'm having problems getting my Usb MIDI to work in my music software. It used to work, but one day it just magically stopped working. I was about to make a dumb mistake and buy a new $60 Usb MIDI cable, but then I checked in device manager and I noticed that Windows WAS recognizing the Usb MIDI cable. It even said "This device is working properly." The MIDI Input light on the cable blinks when I press the keyboard's(piano) keys when I first plug it in, then stops after a while. It's supposed to be plug-n-play. When I first got it, no driver download was needed. I plugged it in, and it worked. I was thinking it may need a driver update? Or maybe a new driver? Whatever it is, please help. What do I do? Things you need to know:

    Computer: Windows 7
Music Software: Mixcraft Pro Studio 5
MIDI Controller: Casio Privia PX-120 88 Key Digital Piano

    Device Manager:

USB Midi Manufacturer: (Generic USB Audio)
Device Status: This device is working properly.
    Driver Provider: Microsoft
    Driver Date: 7/13/2009
    Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385
    Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows

Please help! Thanks! It's frustrating because it used to work but now it doesn't! I greatly appreciate it!

If it does not have any valuable files on give it a format with SD Formatter.

    https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/

Download is on the left. Then try it.

Firstly when you plug in the usb device does it show up in windows explorer?

If so download SD Formatter & install it (click on the exe file of the download). Open the program & direct to the usb causing trouble & start the program.

    See if it now works.
