    Line-in delay/lag

I have my xbox 360's sound connected to the line-in on my motherboard, and normally under vista it worked perfect. With windows 7 I notice a significant delay and it makes it virtually impossible to play games like rockband, guitar hero, etc. Is there any fix for this? Thanks

I'm experiencing the same issue with the line-in with Windows 7. Audio is from a patch cord running from my guitar effects pedal. It worked fine in Vista.

<UPDATE> Since I built my system, I dug out my ASUS motherboard systems CD and installed the Vista Reltek sound drivers. After a reboot, the Line-in worked like it did in Vista with no delay (simple audio pass through). Just as long as "Listen to this device" is unchecked (in the Listen tab in Line-in properties).

Hey, I've just registered so I could say a HUGE thank you for solving my problem. I've just installed Windows 7 from XP and, like this other user's problem, was experiencing a 2-3 second delay when trying to use my mixer (when DJing) through my PC. I tried my Asus motherboard disk and installed the driver for Vista, as you've suggested and after a reboot, it instantly worked a treat! - No more delays! So happy - thanks a million for saving me stress and probably a lot of frustration.
