Windows 7: Default Communication Device

Default Communication Device

I use a USB headset and a pair of USB speakers. I have the speakers setup as the default playback, and the headset set as the "default communication device".

I use the headset for a VOIP web application. When I pickup a phone call (via the voip web app) the headset mic works fine but the playback still goes to the USB speakers. I would like the playback to switch to the headset. Anyone know how can this be accomplished?

I haven't had any problems at all with Windows 7 until yesterday, when my headphones became stuck as the "Default Communication Device" and I can only use the Speakers and Dual Headphones to listen to my computer. Hi guys, so I did some tweaking around in Sounds and Realtek HD Audio Manager, and I finally got stereo mix working. There's only one catch. It only picks it up if my default device is Reaktek HD Speakers. I tried setting my USB headset as the default device, since I never use my monitor's built in...
