Diamond XS51 + Logitech Z506 not working properly

I have Windows 7 Professional x64, a Diamond Multimedia XS51 5.1 Soundcard and a Logitech Z506 speaker set up (used set up from liquidator).

For some reason, I am having trouble installing sound card drivers and I'm not getting sound to the center and rear speakers. Also, the speaker doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure if that sure work automatically or what?

    Welcome to SF, machin3.

Please post your system specs so we can better help you (quick links, edit your details, edit your specs).

Check your device manager to see if you have any yellow warnings.

Just a thought; did you check to see if all speakers where working before you bought them.

Don't know what your specs are, but if you have two sound devices (chip on motherboard and card), you may want to disable the motherboard sound chip.

Sorry for posting so late. Here are my specs:

Gigabyte G.1 Guerrilla. (I disabled onboard audio)
Diamond Multimedia Xtreme Sound 5.1 Soundcard

I can't seem to install the right drivers for it. On the website it says there is a Version 4 of the driver but when I install it, it says its version 1.

Now, I can't get the sound card to work even when I install the drivers.

Is there any other drivers I should be installing such as Realtek, etc?

Were you ever able to get sound on the onboard audio?

Get the latest drivers and bios from Gigabyte:
    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1366 - G1.Guerrilla (rev. 1.0)

Go to the Intel site and run the auto update:
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

Unplug your PC and move your sound card to another slot

As far as drivers, I'm with you on this one. It does seems like 4 and 1 are the same (at first look). They also have a guide for version 3, but not a version 3 driver. It's nuts.

    This is interesting:

Yeah I've tried everything man. It was a bust purchasing a $20 sound card. I'm going to pick up a Creative Labs Titanium tomorrow instead. Diamond just lost my taste in the company haha.

I'll let you know if I can get the creative card to work. Thanks for now.

Hahahaha I should. I don't know what I was thinking buying a $20 sound card though.

I bought the Creative X-Fi soundcard like i mentioned. It was on sale for $60. Plugged it in, installed drivers, still messing around with configuration but it sounds beastly.

I'm never going with a Diamond Multimedia product again.

    Thanks for all your help
