    No sound in stereo

    Hello,
I have installed Windows 7 to several PCs and this is the first time encounter a problem of this kind. The config is:

    AMD X2 4200+
    2GB ram
    MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum rev1.0 with ALC850
    etc.

As the title says in stereo there is no sound to the line out jack. I tried several different drivers from Realtek, the ones from windows update and even 1 from Nvidia and it's always the same thing. The weird thing is if i switch to 4 speakers, 5.1 etc all of them have sound except of the front speakers. The board is not the problem since it worked fine on Windows XP. Anyone has any idea other than going back to XP? Maybe there is a way to change front and back speaker's jacks or some other way to make the back speakers act as front?

    Thank you

Yeah i tried 3-4 different versions including the "latest" from 2009/3/26 named 303_Vista_Win7_PG537.zip and they give me the same problem. I am starting to think the only solution would be to try to install windows 7 again and if that doesn't work go back to XP.

ALC850 is a AC97 codec not a HD audio codec so therefore that driver is not compatible ( i tried :) ) Also speaker fill is ticked and that was the only way to get some sound on my speakers connected to the rear jack

Newest Realtek AC97 driver are A4.06

    Dont download from realtek.tw(only 15 kb/s)

    Try these:http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOU...213-WHQL.shtml

If it doesnt work try via Windows Update

Check your setting in the control panel TWICE!
Its smell to me like a bad setup in the configuration window!
