    Sound Popping

    Hey guys, what's up?

It's been over a month since the sound of my windows is popping like "pfpfpfpfpfpfpf" forever.

Already updated the drivers and I have seen if has interference in local and wireless devices, but without success.

The card is onboard and my win is 7-64bit.
    How should I proceed?

I had a similar problem about a year ago. This is just a stab in the dark, maybe we'll get lucky.

We found that the monitor had sound capability and the volume was set to > 0 we got this annoying popping sound. Spoke to the monitor manufacturer (Philips), and even sent it back and they couldn't fault it. We weren't running sound through the monitor, just having the volume turned up was enough to cause the problem.

When we set the monitor volume to 0 the popping stopped.

If not, sorry to have wasted your time.

I understand. The popping came through my sound card/speakers, and exhibited the same symptoms, even though it was just the monitor volume. The popping wasn't comming from the monitor itself.

As I said, it was a shot in the dark. Sorry it was of no value.

VIA on-board sound? I had pops and drop outs on my ASUS M4N68-M V2 motherboard. VIA VT1708s sound chip. I ditched the ASUS supplied driver and got my Driver directly from VIA. Haven't had a problem since.

Did you un-install the previous/old driver first?
