    Sound Card & driver?

    Greetings,

I'm in the process of buying Creative Labs CT5803-Sound Blaster PCI 128 sound card. The computer is a home-built and has no name. If I plug the sound card into the PCI, do I need a DRIVER for this. If i do, can you please show me a link to get the driver for this sound card. Thanks.

That sounds like a really old card, if so it is going to be very difficult to find windows 7 drivers for it. There is a sticky of Creative Cards in this section of the forum. I'd give that a look see.

Even older than you think. That card came out somewhere back in 1997 or 1998, with the last update available for it from 2002,

titi2 unless you are getting that card for $5.00 or less (and at $5.00 is still too much for it), do yourself a very large favor and don't get it as it will have zero Windows 7 support.
