Unable to open RealTek HD Audio Manager on Windows 7

I finally managed to locate RealTek HD Audio Manager on Windows 7 by searching for the file "RAVCpl64.exe"

However, when I click to open it, nothing happens. I tried to run it in compatibility mode with Windows Vista but nothing happens once again.

Does anyone know how I can get RealTek HD Audio Manager to open as a software application on Windows 7?

Boo hoo - No system specs.

Go to your motherboard or PC manufacturer's web site and download the latest Realtek drivers that apply to your Specific machine. Follow the instructions there for installing the drivers. You cannot execute the software as an application. It's triggered by right clicking the small speaker icon in the lower right of your screen.

Ops! You are absolutely right. I forgot about the stand alone. I always just use the speaker icon. (Same driver APIs, same options)

clicking ravcpl64.exe runs it for me. the file has no compatibility settings, i do run it from an admin login. if you running it from a normal user you may need to set it to the 'run as admin' compatibility setting.

i also have a control panel applet for it in my control panel items. if you don't see it, find & click the 'RTSnMg64.cpl' file, it should also run it.
