Audigy 2ZS => Microphone not working

    Hello everyone,

I recently installed Windows 7 RTM x64 Ultimate on my PC (previously installed with windowsXP, everything working fine).

I updated my Audigy 2 ZS drivers with those ones found on the Creative site : Sound Blaster Audigy series driver 2.18.0011

After the installation the Autoupdater can't find any Creative card but nevermind, the installation ran fine beside that and I have no uninstalled device in the device manager.

My problem is when I want to use my microphone for example with Teamspeak (I use a sennheiser PC-350 plugged directly on the sound card). My team mates tell me I have some kind of "robot voice" and I am just barely understandable. I found on the web that it seems I am not the only one to have this kind of problem.

I can't find any solution to have my microphone working, any hint ? maybe I should change this "old" soundcard with a more recent one if the drivers are known to work flawlessly with Seven ?

    Many thanks in advance :)

Have you checked to see that the mic is set as the default recording device, and that the mic boost is enabled,

Also click on the Playback tab and make sure that the mic is muted there.

You may also want to give this a try,

SB Audigy Series Support Pack 2.0 (04/17/2009) - Creative Labs

as it will give you some of the apps back that worked in XP.
