Buzzing sounds in laptop speakers.

Howdy guys. I just upgraded my Window Vista Home Premium x86 to Window 7 Ultimate x64. Everything is okay after upgrading except for the speakers. When i play any kind of audio files, it has a buzzing sound. And if i turn my volume up, the buzzing will be louder. Everything was okay before i upgraded to Window 7. Now this thing happens. Anyone has any solution to it?

Audio software i'm using : Realtek HD Audio Manager

Hello Shadow and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is it possible the speaker(s) got damaged/torn? If the speakers are physically OK I'd check to make sure you have the latest Realtek driver installed. Open device manager and see which version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager you have. It should say something like PCIe GBE Family or FE Family. Then use the Realtek download site to get the latest driver. While in device manager you could also open all the other + signs to see if any other devices need updating. Please post back if this helps.

No, it's not possible to have the speakers damaged because i used it 5 hours ago before upgrading to Window 7. When i open up device manager, it says Realtek High Definition Audio. How do i get the latest one? The website is too confusing. Besides, im just a 14 year old boy.

Age is not a problem. You probably know more about computers than I do.

Can you double-click on Realtek High Definition Audio and see if it opens a dialog box with several tabs? One of the tabs should be for drivers. Click on that tab and see if there's a button called "Update Driver...". Your computer can do the checking. If there is a newer driver available, I'd make a restore point before downloading/installing the driver just in case it causes other problems.

It says, "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is already up to date."
