    Restrain Windows Mediaplayer

Is there any way to keep wmplayer from ever playing an mp3 file, under any circumstances, short of removing it from the computer?

i would have thought you would got the default playing file list and untick it. Then it will ignore it also use OPEN with (right Click) and assign new default MP3 player.

Thanks, MrDemon (odd that, in other fora my handle is carping demon) but:

In the default programs associations in the control panel, mp3 is unticked from wmplayer, and is assigned to another player. But the mp3 file context menu still offers Play with Windows Media Player, and does indeed play the file in wmplayer. I would like to get rid of that possibility.
