RealTek HD Audio Onboard gives static, even when muted.
For a point of reference, I checked this thread first.
I'm having a similar issue to what is listed here. Even when all my sound is muted I have this distinct buzzing sound when I plug into my front jack. I've tried it with three different headphones, and two different sets of speakers. I do not have this issue when I am connected to the rear port, but I do if I run the "Audio Manager" and retask the front/rear input. I have followed everything the threadstarter has (including what Fireberd recommended about resetting the IRQ), and I am still running into the issue. I have even looked into the BIOS to see if there was something I could adjust there and nothing. I also found something about PC Beep, but I was unable to get that working as well.
Also, I think it's worth mentioning that, like in the above thread, I don't have any sound issues until Windows starts (specifically, once the four dots on the Windows Loading screen becomes the WinLogo).
I've tried everything mentioned in this thread, and I've even Googled the Audio Codec to see if I can download something different to no avail. I'm at my wit's end, as I've had this computer for all of a week, and I don't want to have to send it back to the manufacturer if it's at all possible (though, since I hear it even when muted, I'm not sure that's a possibility at this point). For the sake of ease, I'm including my system specs (although I also have most of them posted in my profile).
Please advise, as I am pretty frustrated - usually I'm the one answering these kinds of questions!
If more information is needed, please let me know.
